How to add a stylish name to Instagram
- Type your name above and copy a style you like. The Aesthetic filter is selected, so you'll see soft sparkles, moons and butterflies first.
- In Instagram, go to your profile and tap Edit profile, then Name.
- Paste and save. Your stylish name now appears above your bio.
Name vs username: fancy fonts work in your Name and Bio, but not in your @username. Usernames only allow plain letters, numbers, periods and underscores. Instagram also limits how often you can change your Name (twice in 14 days), so choose carefully.

Instagram search reads the letters you type. Most fancy fonts are different characters from normal letters, so a fully styled name may be harder to find in search. A smart trick: keep your name normal in your @username and use the stylish version in the Name field.
